Alice ‘in Frames’ Zaslavsky makes food fun! She’s the face of cooking from scratch from a kids’ perspective, thanks to her first book ‘Alice’s Food A-Z’, and as a Melbourne-based former MasterChef contestant, we thought she was the perfect fit for our new ‘Foodie of the month’ campaign!
Alice is a former Middle School teacher and head of department at a top Melbourne school who traded chalk and talk for talk and stir in 2012, competing in MasterChef Australia Series 4. Alice now brings her message of edible adventure and positive engagement through food to people (especially little people) across the country with her writing and performing. She is the host of Kitchen Whiz, a food knowledge quiz show for kids 8+ on the Nine Network (Channel Go). And we just love her philosophy:

To spice up our cafe menu, we asked Alice if we could feature her Coconut & Black Sesame Sago Pudding recipe because it’s adventurous, delicious and it ticks so many boxes as far as dietary requirements!
This dish is free from dairy, gluten & cane sugar and by using maple syrup instead of honey in the sesame paste, we’ve made it vegan.
